About AI Reps

Built by someone who builds

Most AI advice comes from people who don't ship software, manage engineers, or build products. This one doesn't.

Builder

10+ years writing production code. Still ships features every week. Builds AI-powered tools and automations obsessively.

Manager

Leads a team of engineers and contractors through the biggest technology shift of their careers. Writes AI policies, not just prompts.

Architect

Designs the systems, not just the prompts. Thinks in workflows, pipelines, and compounding leverage — not one-off tricks.

The story

I started AI Reps because I couldn't find what I was looking for: a newsletter that treats AI as a career tool, not a spectacle. Not another roundup of funding announcements and model releases. Something that answers the question every professional is quietly asking: "What do I actually DO with this?"

I write from a perspective most AI commentators don't have — the intersection of hands-on building (I still write code every day), team leadership (I manage engineers navigating this shift in real time), and systems architecture (I design the products, not just the prompts).

When I'm not writing or building, I'm in Kansas City, probably debugging something on my Mac Mini that was supposed to be fully automated by now.

How we verify workflows

Every workflow published in AI Reps has been tested on real work — not hypothetical scenarios. Here's the process:

  1. 1 Build it — every prompt and workflow is constructed from real use cases
  2. 2 Test it — run it on actual work tasks, not demo data
  3. 3 Measure it — quantify the time saved or output improved
  4. 4 Write it — explain it so anyone can replicate the result
