Privacy Policy

The short version

HiveLog does not require an account. Your apiary, hive, inspection, mite check, treatment, feeding, reminder, and photo data is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. We cannot see your records.

1. Information processed

• Records you enter — stored locally on your device only. Never transmitted to us or to any server.
• Purchases — handled by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation that a HiveLog Pro purchase or subscription is active (an "entitlement"), but not your name, card number, or other payment details.
• Crash diagnostics (optional) — if enabled, we use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports (such as device model, operating-system version, and error traces) to fix bugs. These contain no hive records and no identifiers we can tie back to you.
• Usage analytics (optional) — if enabled, we collect anonymous, aggregated events (for example, which features or screens are used) to improve the App. These are not linked to your identity and contain no hive records.
• Photos — any photos you attach to inspections are stored locally on your device. We do not upload them.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, or your beekeeping records. We do not sell or share personal data. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3. Storage and retention

Your records live on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export my data. Uninstalling the App removes all of its local data from your device.

4. Third parties

The limited, non-identifying data described above may be processed by: the Apple App Store and Google Play (for payments and subscriptions); Sentry (for crash reporting, if enabled); and our analytics provider (if enabled). Each processes data only as described here and under its own privacy policy.

5. Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. They are generated on-device and are not routed through our servers.

6. Children

HiveLog is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Your rights

Because your records are stored locally and under your control, you can access, edit, export, or delete them directly in the App at any time. For questions about crash or analytics data, contact us using the email below.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
